no dogs and a rainbow
First morning waking up in this bed without my dogs nibbling my toes or snuffling at my face. Despite that, i am happy to be waking up to bird song once again.
Waiting to hear back from someone afar i take my phone with me as i head down to the beach. I place it in a waterproof pouch in the odd chance that i somehow fall into the water.
A large signboard from a call center, newly installed, offends my view of the path to the beach.
I see that the tide is low so i sought to walk up north to where the sand ends.
For the first time i walk this path without a dog.

It starts to rain heavily, and i am thankful for the waterproof pouch because i could keep going.
Moments later, my 6:30 alarm starts ringing and i obviously cannot take my phone out in the rain. My alarm goes on to harass a good part of my walk down the beach.
The alarm finally stops (and so has the rain). I see a trail of footprints from a dog and a human. The size of the feet looked rather small. It could've been a kid. It could've been me.
I reach the end of my path and so i turn around and... right in front of me was a double rainbow, vivid and glorious. If i could just touch it...
