sinker wave
I reach out and fold over like a
giant wave that tips
a ship to its side.
My chest gapes open like a cave
for a moment; you may miss it
when it happens.
In my humble insecurity I am like a
dry seed; in my excitement
I am like a flower that beats, undulating petals,
as if with a pulse,
a warm heart.
I write my thoughts in proper fashion
but I make too many breaks,
the pauses are unnatural and
my sentences a bore.
If I could just remember to write as I think
there would not be
many pauses because my
mind slides forth like
over a sheet of ice.
I do not suffer from it just
there is many I can say
And think of. This isn’t
sick I am just very
much alive.
